ASIAN CONFERENCE

(Rec. 10.30) NEW DELHI, Jan. 10. The Asian Conference on the Indonesian problem will open in New Delhi on January 27, says the British United Press correspondent. The countries which have accepted so far are New Zealand, Australia, Afghanistan, Persia, Egypt, Burma, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Ceylon and Saudi Arabia. Turkey and Siam have refused and replies are awaited from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Ethiopia.

New Zealand and Australia are not sending delegates to the conference. Those present from these countries will be observers only.
