EIFFELTON DRAMA CLUB

PRESENTATION OF LAURISTON PLAYS The Eiffelton Hall was filled to capacity when the Lauriston Club presented four one-act plays. People were present from widely-scattered parts of the country, indicating an increasing interest in the art in the district. >. The plays Avere as folloAv, with names of those taking part in parentheses “Mr Haclcet’s Prize” —Mrs I-lacket (Alma Mackie), Henry Hacket (Fred Arker), Mrs Chickenbottom (Williford GoodAvin), The Salesman (George Hayward). “Send Her Victorious”—Edward Tracey (Jack Mackie), Sinnett (George Hayward), Esta Cardew (Joyce Hayward), - George CardeAV (George Limbrick), Marion Tracey (Winifred Crothers). “The Telephone Never Rings”—Mrs Josephy (Winiford Goodwin), Jas. Hicks (Jack Mounsey), Winifred Barnes (Lois Mackie), Roger Endleton (Duncan Smith), Mrs Oates (Alma Mackie), Eleanor Millingby (Hazel Mounsey), An Intruder (Jack Mackie). “Holiday Eve” —Mrs Fisher (Hazel Mounsey), Mr Fisher (Jack Mounsey), Vera (Lois Mackie), Billy (Jack Mounsey)., Vera (Lois Mackie), Billy (George Limbrick), Minnie Thompson (Joyce HayAvard), Ulrick (Ann 6 Mounsey). After the plays, members of the Lauriston Club Avere entertained to supper by members of the Eiffelton Club. On behalf of the Eiffelton Drama Club, Miss June Johnson presented Mrs H. Mounsey Avith a posy of violets. Mrs W. C. Kennedy (president of the Eiffelton Club) thanked the Lauriston players for presenting the plays, and Mr Ron Cocks for providing incidental music.
