LOST LIFE TRYING TO RESCUE DOLL
SYDNEY, March 19. An unidentified man was cut to pieces by an electric train when he fell from a platform at the Town Hall Station, Sydney. The police were told that he was trving to recover a child’s doll. According to a bystander, the man accidentally dropped the doll on to the rails, and either jumped or fell on to the track as he tried to recover it. The incoming train killed him instantly. , The remains of a large rag doll were found later several yards up the line.
