NEW AWARD
PASSENGER TRANSPORT DRIVERS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A minimum wage (unless otherwise stated) of £7 3s 4d a week is provided for all drivers covered by the new Dominion “except Auckland 25-mile radius” Passenger Transport Drivers’ Award, issued by the Court of Arbitration. This award combines parts one and two of the former award, thus giving service car drivers the same conditions as bus drivers engaged in town and suburban passenger transport. The new award embraces amended clauses covering hours of work, book-ing-off, broken shifts, overtime payments, extra payments and holidays.
