FURTHER REDUCED
RUSSIA’S CLAIM ON AUSTRIA (Rec. 11.0 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 31. Russia, which has already cut her original claim on Austraia from a. lump sum payment of 200,000,000 dollars over years to 175,000,000 dollars, has now offered to further reduce the claim to 150,000,000 dollars in convertible currency over a period of six years. Western delegates, meeting the Big Four Foreign Ministers’ Deputies today, expressed qualified appreciation of the new offer, but reaffirmed that Austria’s ability to pay should be shown, and the problem of the disposal of German assets in Austria settled as a whole.
