ST. JAMES THEATRE “Wanted For Murder,” starring Eric Portman, Roland Culver, Stanley Holloway and Barbara Everest is the attraction at the St. James Theatre to-night. The film tells the tense story of a man who kills for the sheer thrill of killing. Haunted and tormented by the remorse of his own evil, he is drawn reluctantly from love to love, murder to murder, wooing his unsuspecting victims to their deaths. Eric Portman, one of England’s foremost dramatic stars, in the greatest role of his career, potrays the ferocious killer, while Dulcie Gray and Derek Farr are featured as the young lovers who become helpless paw,ns in his game of death. In tracking down the criminal, the scientific operations of Scotland Yard are sharply delineated. Roland Culver and Stanley Holloway take the lead in the pursuit, unflagging in their efforts to apprehend the killer, working from the flimsiest of clues to the spectacular climax.
