NIGHT LANDING
CLIPPER FROM AMERICA * " (P.A.) AUCKLAND, March HO. With 22 passengers who had expected to be in Auckland on Monday afternoon and nine others who had been picked up' in Fiji, a Pan-American Airways clipper reached Whenuapai at 10.35 to-night. It landed in rain after a ground controlled approach. The aircraft was a relief plane ' dispatched from Honolulu after its sister ship had encountered mechanical trouble at Canton Island.
