COOL AND OVERCAST The sky was overcast for most of the day 'in Ashburton and temperatures were cool. A slight drizzle fell at intervals this morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures for the 24 hours ending at 9 o’clock .this morning were 64.8 and <19.0 degrees against 75.0 and 51 during the previous 24 hours. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru to 5 p.m. to-morrow is as follows: Moderate north-east winds to-mor-row; weather fair inland, but cloudy near the coast, with some scattered morning drizzle; temperatures cool to moderate.
