Model Plane Club

The weekly meeting of the Ashburton Model Aeroplane Club was held a* the airport on Saturday. The Government had decided to send the chief surveyor of ships for the Marine Department (Mr E. Brown) and the deputy chief surveyor (Mr V. G. Boivin) to represent New Zealand. The New Zealand Shipowners’ Federation had arranged for the assistant marine superintendent of the Union Steam Ship Company (Captain C. H. George) to represent it, and the scientific liaison officer in London (Dr. E. Marsden) would collaborate with the technical experts.—P.A.
