BADMINTON
MID-CANTERBURY CLUB ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Mid-Can-terbury Badminton Club was held last week in the Dorothy tearooms, . the president, Mr A. Meredith, presiding over a fair attendance of members. The annual report was read and received, and, the balance-sheet, showing a sound financial position, adopted. . Opening night was fixed for April 14, and with all players keen, and several new members elected to the club pi*ospects for the icoming season are excellent. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr W. H. Hunt; president, Mr A. Meredith; vice-presidents, Mrs D. Wall, Messrs J. Davidson, W. T. Corbett and A. E. Clarke; captain, Mr L. Todd; vice-captain, Mr E. Morriss; secretary, Mr N. J. Gosnell; treasurer, Mr C. Anderson; auditor, Mr L. Armstrong; committee, captain, vice-cap-tain, seci’etary, treasurer (ex-officio; and Misses J. McEachen, M. Wall, C. A. McLennan and Messrs I. Davidson, J. Weeks, K. Barker, C. Finn and J. Walls.
