ALLENTON CLUB PROGRESSIVE PAIRS TOURNEY A progressive pairs, tournament was held on the Allenton Bowling Club’s greens on Saturday when five games of one tour each were played. G. Church (Allenton) won the skips section, with four wins, and W. Anderson (Allenton) and F. Timlin (Ashburton) tied with five wins each in the loads, Anderson willing on points by 77 to 47. MADISON TROPHY FINAL POSTPONED Because J. Street, a Bakaia finalist in the singles championship, is suffering from a poisoned hand, this bowling event has been postponed from to-morrow afternoon to Saturday, April 10. The other finalists are S. V. Sneddon (Linwood), R. Henry (Sydenham). and J. K. Smith (Christchurch). As the games will have to be played exceptionally late in the season, the Bowling Centre may have a problem in getting a suitable green.
