ASHBURTON SUCCESSES Buck jumping, steer riding, a dog show, events for hunters and novelty races for hacks and ponies were features of the successful rodeo and gymkhana sports held at the Timaru Showgrounds on Saturday by the Timaru Agricultural and Pastoral Association, the South Canterbury Hunt and the South Canterbury Kennel Club. For those who like their excitement soundsynchronised the South Canterbuiy Motor Cycle Club held races. Neaily 6000 persons went through the gates, including visitors from Ashburton.
