TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO
(From the “Guardian,” Mar. 29, 1923). Technical School —Boxing will be the chief item on the curriculum of the physical culture class which commences to-night at the Ashburton Technical School. This class is open to boys of the town who attend the Technical School as well as to those who do not, and the class should meet with an enthusiastic reception. A physical culture class for girls will be started shortly, it is hoped, meeting on Monday nights, when the usual physical exercises will he carried out on the same lines as at the class which was held during the winter before last and which proved such an outstanding success. The boys’ class will meet on the Tuesday and Saturday evenings of each week.
