SMALL BOY KILLED
STRUCK BY RAIL-CAR ON BRIDGE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 23. When he was "hit by the north-bound-rail-car on a small bridge 200 yards south of the Potome railway crossing about. 3.40 p.m. to-day a boy aged four years was killed. Ho was Francis Charles Brvner Howie, son. of Mr A. E. F. Howie, 28 Bush Street, Naenae, Lower \Hutt. Mr Howie was going to the beach accompanied by the boy. He • had crossed the railway lines followed by his son, who began playing on the beach. When he looked around Mr Howie saw his son knocked off the bridge, by the railcar, which stopped. Ho took his son to a. Rearin' garage, and when the doctor arrived the boy was dead.
