INTER-AMERICAN CONFERENCE
MR MARSHALL TO ATTEND (Rec. 10.30) WASHINGTON, Mar. 22. The State Department announced today that the Secretary of State, Mr G. C. Marshall, was leaving next week-end for the inter-American conference, opening in Bogota, Colombia, on March 30. Mr Marshall is planning to stay throughout the conference which is expected to last six weeks. The American press had speculated that Mr Marshall might have to change his plans because of the tense situation in Europe.
