FAT SHEEP FIRM AT LATE RATES ' / A double market and open ewe fair Avas held at the Timvald saleyards to-day. There Avas a good entry in the fat cheep section of the double market, with prices firm at late rates. Prime Avethers brought from 42s to 4Gs lOd, medium from 38s to 41s, and light up to 375. Prime ewes ranged from 2fss to. 30s 6d, medium from 22s to 245, and light up to £1 is. Sales included the following: . Wethers —On account of J. McQuilkin, 6at 46s lOd, 4at 445.10 d; account clients, 6 at 39s lOd, 7 at 38s lOd, 7 at 37s lOd, 5 at 365, 5 at 39s 4d, 3 at 42s 4d, 4 at 42s 4d, 6 at 38s 4d, 8 at 39s Id, 4 at 40s 7d. Ewes—On account of clients 3 at 30s 6d, 7 at 25s 4d, 0 at 24s lOd, 5 at 8s Id, S at 275. lOd, 5 at 2557 d, 5 at 235, 4d, 5 at 25s lOd, 6 at 23s 7d, 0 at 23s 4d, 7 two-tooths at 37s 4d, 2 twotooths at 35s lOd, 7 two-tooths at 38s 10 d. Open Ewe Fair The open ewe fair started with the sale of lambs and tAvo-tooths. Bidding was not A r erv keen, and some pens were passed.
