Royal Wedding Photographs
“Provided all tests are satisfactory and radio conditions are sufficiently good, it is hoped to have photographs of the Royal wedding in New Zealand a few hours after the ceremony,” said the Postmaster-General (the Hon. F. Hackett) yesterday. “The overseas radio photo service will be officially opened on November 20. The installation of equipment has been completed and tests were begun yesterday with Australia. Tests with the United Kingdom through Melbourne and on a second channel through an automatic relay station at Colombo were held yesterday.”—P.A.
