RESULTS OF SATURDAY’S PLAY The second series of matches in the competitions of the Ashburton Basketball Association were played on Saturday when conditions were mild with grounds soft after the rain of the previous day. High School Old 'Girls and Methven had wins in the senior A grade. Detailed results' are as under: Senior A: High School Old Girls 21, St. Stephens 12; Methven IS, Convent 4; Technical Old Girls a bye. Senior B: Lauriston 13, Farmers 8; Baring Square 23, High School Old Girls 17; Rolteby 19, Convent 15; Allenton 22, Tekau 13; High School 20, Lane, Walker Rudkin 5; Technical 18, Technical Old Girls 4. Junior A: Eiffelton 22, Allenton 9; Technical 14, JMethven 13; Convent 13, High School 5; Tinwald 15, Hinds 3. Junior B: Technical No. 1 23. Baring Square 7; e Springburn 10; Methven 7; High School No,. 2 13, Technical No. 28; High School No. 1 a bye.
