FETHER-FLAKE TIPS
(1) Roll to J-inch thickness, using light, quick strokes. (2) Leave standing at least 15 minutes —longer in colder weather. (3) Use hot oven—4so degrees. Preferably a newly heated oven. (4) When pastry is in oven, turn top element off —maintain temperature With bottom element. This ensures lower layer of pastry baking. (5) If pastry requires more cooking on bottom layer, lower its position m oven. (6) Avoid unnecessary knocks and jars when baked. (7) Use a pie funnel, particularly with large crusts. , (8) When rolling out, just enough flour to prevent pastry sticking o rolling pin is correct. , (9) In making meat pies, all cooked meat to cool before covering with Fether-Flake. .
