LIKE ATOM BOMB
WHEN HELIGOLAND GOES UP (Rec. 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, April 17. A small group of experts today made final preparations for the destruction of Heligoland at noon to-morrow, says the Cuxhaven correspondent of the Associated Press. British experts say the explosion, which will be made by 3500 tons of assorted explosives, will be the greatest man-made blast since the atom bomb at. Bikini. They believe the blast will penetrate 108 miles into the earth.
