TECHNICAL OLD STUDENTS

OFFICERS OF ASSOCIATION Since the revival of the Ashburton Technical High School Old Students’ Association in May of last year, the membership liad increased from the pre-war figure of 60 to 275, reported the president (Mr M. Chilton), at the first annual meeting of tlie Association held at the school last evening. There was an attendance of about 20. The report reviewed the winter and summer programmes,' which had been most successful. A credit balance of £sl was shown by the financial statement. Appreciation of the work of Messrs Colin Robertson and Edgar Watts and Miss Iris Watson in the interests of the association before leaving the district, was expressed by the chairman. It was decided that the subscription remain at 5s for tlie forthcoming year and that nomination forms be obtained. • It was agreed that the association donate an Honours board which is being prepared, to the school. The election of resulted: Patron, Mr W. Crawford; president, Mr A. Rattray; vice-presidents, Mrs M. Marcliant and Messrs 11. Brown and E. Tinker; executive, Messrs M. Chilton, D. J. Sparrow and Miss N. Vial, and other officers; secretary, Miss J. Rattray; treasurer, Mr J. Glassey; social committee, Misses Betty Campbell, N. Sparrow, Beth Skinner, E. Chilton and Messrs V. Galletly, M. Cleland, M. Patterson, E. Carter and J. Matheson.
