“WILL GO WHERE WE PLEASE,” SAYS HALSEY (Rec. 12.30) WASHINGTON, Aug. 28. Admiral W. F. Halsey, replying to press conference questions about the United States naval deployments said: “It is nobody’s damn business where we go. We will go anywhere we please.” He added that the high seas are free. Asked if the Mediterranean was included in the areas where the United States was free to go without criticism, Admiral Halsey emphatically affirmed, adding, “anywhere at all.”
