BACTERIOLOGICAL WARFARE (Rec. 9.30) NUREMBERG, Aug. 28. A written statement that , FieldMarshal Wilhelm Keitel banned preparations for bacteriological warfare was submitted to the War Crimes Tribunal by a staff officer, Colonel Buerker at -present in the Dachau camp. » The judges’ acceptance of written evidence rvithout hearing Buerker is interpreted as a move to ensure the completion of * the trial by Saturday. The statement added that when three bacteriologists suggested to Keitel that research should be extended to include preparations for a coun-ter-attack by this means he told them sharply: “There is no question of such a thing.” Counsel for the Reich Cabinet, summing up, claimed that none of the members of the Cabinet could resign against Hitler’s will and none could act without Hitler’s directive. The Cabinet, in fact, in fact, did not exixst as such. >
