U-BOAT COMPONENTS
RUSSIANS PROCURING MATERIAL (Rec. 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 26. Raw material for tlie manufacture of U-boat components in former German factories is being imported into the Russian zone from Russia, says Reuter’s Berlin correspondent, quoting reliable sources.
The materials are being carted to Germany by trains. It is believed the quantities are not large, though they have been coming in for a long "time. Coincidentally these indications that German factories are working for the Russian navy are from well-checked information that the Russians have begun to rebuild German naval defences at Port Warnemunde, north of Berlin.
