NOTHING WRONG WITH SHIP HERB MELLER’S VIEWS' (P.A.) DUNEDIN. This Day. “I travelled on the Marine Falcon, and you can take it. from me there was nothing wrong with the ship,” said Herb Meller, the professional westler, in an interview this morning. “It was clean and well-kept, and tlie crew was as good as any other crew. As for them molesting white women, you can blame the women. There were some who would do anything for . a bottle of whisky. The ship was built as a troop transport. It was air-con-ditioned, and was cleaned out regularly three times a day.”
“What do they expect for 200 bucks anyway?” asked Meller. “I have travelled on the Queen Mary, and if it was not quite in that class, there was nothing wrong with it.”
