ASHBURTON EAS'P'REBUILDING * SPECIFICATIONS UNDER WAY. According to advice received today by Mr J. K. Mather, chairman of the Ashburton East School Committee, from the Minister of Education, the Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, approval for re-buiiding ■ the school has been given by the Building Controller, and Cabinet approval will be secured as soon as specifications are received from the Canterbury Education Board.
The full text of the telegram received by Mr Mather is as follows: “The Building Controller has given his approval to the ei'ection of the Ashburton East School and working drawings have been'* 1 received by the Education Department. The local Education Board • is preparing specifications. As soon as these come to hand, Cabinet approval will be obtained.
