SUICIDE VERDICT
RETURNED SOLDIER’S DEATH A. verdict that Peter Anderson Gardiner committed suicide by hanging was returned by the Coroner, Mr E. C. Bathurst, when the inquest was concluded yesterday afternoon. Gardiner served overseas in the recent war and was discharged on July 2 last. He was 41 years of age. The only witness yesterday was Constable A. R. Grant, who was called to the scene when the body was found hanging in a hen house at Tinwald. In a diary belonging to the deceased was an entry, made on July 19, saying: “Am not feeling too good to-day.” i
