TRAFFIC OFFENCES
ASHBURTON PROSECUTIONS Several traffic offenders were dealt with by Mr G. G. Chisholm, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court at Ashburton this., morning/ Penalties were imposed as follows:
Failing to. give way when turning vehicle: John William Bowden (Mr G. C. Nicoll), £2 and costs 10s. .No warrant of fitness:, Albert Richard Freeman, 10s and costs 10s; Eric John Hyde, 10s and costs 12s; Augus-tine-Joseph Longley, 10s and costs 12s. , Operating unregistered trailer: Derek Skeyne Studholme, £1 and costs 12s. '
Operating goods service vehicle ■while certificate of fitness was suspended: Mid-Canterbury Transport Ltd. (Mr Nicoll), 30s and costs 10s. Chief Traffic Inspector R. W. Dixon prosecuted in all the above cases.
