NEW MEMBERS
HOMESERVICEMEN IN MIDCANTERBURY Four new members were elected at the fortnightly meeting of the MidCanterbury branch of the Ncav Zealand Homeservicemen’s Association last evening. The president (Mr W. SparroAv) presided. t Correspondence concerning business to be dealt with at the annual conference commencing in Wellington on August 9 Avas received from Dominion Headouarters. The secretary reported v that fie had arranged berths and hotel accommodation for the delegates, Messrs H. Ryan and W. Sparrow. , For the social committee, Mr Wilkinson reported on the social evening held in the R.S.A. rooms last Saturday evening. In spite of many counter attractions there Avas a good attendance and an enjoyable evening Avas spent. Music Avas supplied by three members of the radar station staff. Messrs E. Miller and Y. Peterson were added to the social committee. Mr Ryan reported on the talk given by Mr G. W. Dell on rehabilitation. It Avas decided to hold a social evening on Saturday, August 17.
