VIOLENT BLIZZARD
KOSCIUSKO SWEPT AGAIN (Rec. 12.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A violent blizzard, is raging, in the Kosciusko, Kiandra and Adaminaby areas, which were swept last night by a. 60-mile-an-hour gale, accompanied by heavy snow and rain. Gales reaching 59 miles an hour buffeted Sydney yesterday, and caused the closing of the Rose Bay -flying-boat base, and the grounding of light aircraft. Three feet of snow fell at Kosciusko. The'Murray River broke its banks again at Tocumwal, and forced famb lies to seek higher ground.
