lan, who ha£ a distinguished career ' in'the 2nd N.Z.E.F., rising to the rank of Brigadier, is chief auctioneer with Dalgety and Co., Christchurch, and Briaui, formerly Flight Lieutenant in the R.N.Z.A.F., is with the Commercial Bank, Dunedin. The ticket was puTchased in Christchurch by Brian, who has only recently been transferred to Dunedin. The nom-de-plume was “Two Types.” On Tuesday Brian received by air mail from Australia the results of the sweepstake, but thinking it too good to be true, and fearing that another ticket, with the same nom-de-plume used, could possibly have been purchased in Christchurch, he cabled Melbourne. He received a cabled reply this morning confirming that “Two Types,” Christchurch, were the winners.
