ASHBURTON VITAL STATISTICS Births registered at Ashburton during the month ended yesterday showed a big increase on July of last year, but returns for marriages and deaths were substantially the same. The total of 34 births last month was 10 greater than in the corresponding period a year’ago and was also the second largest monthly tally for the current year.
