DOMINION MONARCH
ARRIVAL OF MEN DELAYED The delayed arrival at Wellington from the Middle East of the transport Dominion Monarch, means that South Island personnel will not now reach Lyttelton until to-morrow evening about 8 o’clock. New timetables have been drawn up for the transport of the men to their destinations. Civilians will be discharged first from the Wahine when she makes a daylight trip from Wellington with the Dominion Monarch men to-morrow, the train carrying civilians leaving at 8.20 o’clock. The first troop train from Lyttelton will leave at 9 o’clock with personnel for points south of Christchurch, and is due to reach Christchurch at 9.23 o’clock. The troop train will leave for the south at 9.50 and the scheduled times of arrival at southern stations are: Ashburton 11.32 p.m., Timaru, 1.18 a.m.; Oamaru, 3.8; Dunedin, 6.35; Invercargill, 11.35 a.m.
