NORWAY FORTUNATE
(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) OSLO, .January 1.. Norway lias been most fortunate, in avoiding strife and dissension since liberation, said the’ Prime Minister, Dr. Gerhardsen in a New Year broadcast. _ The Prime Minister said lie bad dealt with about. ’ 60,000 traitors and had arranged trials of the worst cases. Four hundred thousand Germans had returned to Germany since liberation, and 90,000 released Russian had been sent home. Most British, American and Russian troops of the liberation forces had iett Ihe country.
