CLOUDY AND COOL The sky in Ashburton to-day was clouded and threatening, an occasional light shower falling during the morning. The atmosphere was cool. The forecast, for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru to 5 p.m. to-morrow is as follows: Moderate to fresh north-easterly winds, changing 1o south-westerly tomorrow morning; weather dull and cool, with intermittent light rain, becoming showery and colder to-morrow.

Further outlook: Unsettled, possibly further rain.
