VOCAL RECITAL

PROCEEDS FOR R.S.A. BUILDING FUND A large and appreciative audience gathered in St. Andrew’s Hall last evening to hear a vocal recital by Miss Merle Brown’s pupils. The proceeds, £ls ss, were in aid of the Returned Services’ Association’s building fund. In thanking Miss Brown for the excellent programme, the president (Mr W. G. Welsh) presented her with a bouquet as a token of appreciation from the Returned Services Association. Miss Yvonne Wright made a presentation of a bouquet on behalf of the pupils. In appreciation of work done during the year, Dr. W. G. Todd presented Miss Brown with a travelling case on behalf of the pupils. Mrs D. E. Brown and Miss Betty Brown (accompanist), were presented with bouquets by Miss Wright. The programme was as follows:
