APPEAL TO MR TRUMAN (Rec. 9.30 a.m.) RANGOON, Dec. 17. General Aung San, president of the Burmese Anti-Fascist' People’s Freedom League, appealed to President Truman to sponsor the cause of dependent countries in accordance ,wq.h his enunciation of American foreign policy in October. “This would enable America further, to expand commerce and industry, because a free Burma would have plenty of room for advanced countries like America to come and develop her resources,’’ the appeal added.
