FINAL PARADES
MALAYAN PEOPLE’S ARMY (Rec. 9.30.) SINGAPORE, Dec. 3. Disbandment parades throughout Malaya during the week-end marked the end of the Malayan People’s antiJapanese Army, the jungle underground movement, predominantly Chinese, which was founded in 1942 when the Malayan Communist Party offered to help the British Command. The Army carried out many daring .raids and ambushes and sheltered many British and Australians.
