NAVAL MIGHT.

BRITISH-U.S. DISPLAY. (Rec. 9.30) NEW YORK, Aug. 23. A correspondent aboard the Duke of York says the British and American Fleets to-day staged history’s greatest aerial naval demonsh'ation a few hours steaming time from Tokio. More than 1000 planes were airborne at one time. Many of them flew at masthead height. The demonstration was staged to keep the pilots in active practice and relieve the monotony of awaiting the signal to enter Tokio Bay.
