DOMINION TOURNAMENT. Ashburton was defeated by Hutt Valley, 18 —14, in a second grade match at the Dominion Basketball (Tournament which was opened at Christchurch yesterday. 9 _____ DRAW FOR SATURDAY. With members of senior A teams attending the Dominion tournament ill Christchurch, only senior B and junior teams will take partt in the Ashburton Basketball Association’s competitions
at Ashburton on Saturday. Following is the draw: Senior B—St. Stephen’s v. United (No. 1 ground), 2 p.m., Mrs O’Shea; Technical Old Girls v. High School Old Girls (No. 2), 2 p.m., Mrs Wendelborn; Baring Square v. N.Z.F. (No. 3), 2 p.m., Miss Cullen. Junior —Convent v. Springburn (No. 4), 2 p.m., Miss F. Collins; Tlnwald v. Railway (non-competition match), No. 5, Miss Murdoch. Deferred on account of school holidays:—Technical High School v. Alienton, High School A v. High School B, Technical High School A v. Tinwald, Technical High School B v. Railway.
