PLEDGE FULFILLED.
AIR LANDING ON BERLIN. LONDON, Aug. 22. The United States 82nd Airborne Division fulfilled its pledge that one day, peace or war, it would jump on Berlin. A group of 91 officers and men, mostly veterans of North Africa, Sicily and Anzio, parachuted from planes on to a potato patch in Berlin’s Neuekoln district.
