GRAND MUFTI SOUGHT.
REQUEST BY YUGOSLAVIA. (Rec. 12.30.) BELGRADE, Aug. 22. The Yugoslav Government has asked the Allies to hand over Haj Ami el Hussein!, former Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, as a war criminal. The Grand Mufti visited Bosnia during the German occupation and allegedly organised a “Hanji” S.S. division consisting of Bosnian Moslems. They were accused of handing oyer to the Germans a number of British and American airmen forced down in Bosnian forests.
