FUNCTION AT TINWALD I _ <1 I j The victory ball at Tinwald on Tues- | day night was most successful. The Town Hall was crowded and an atmosphere of rejoicing prevailed. A welcome was- extended to Private L. Holland, an ex-prisoner of war, who recently returned. On behalf of the Farewell and Welcome Home Committee, Mr A. B. Simpson (chairman) made presentations to Privates M, J. Bishop, R. RBrim ton, F. J. Ford and R. Ivirdy. Mrs D. Hopwood made presentations on behalf of the women’s organisations. Dancing to music by Chapman’s Orchestra was enjoyed. Mr Simpson was master of ceremonies. i
