The Ashburton Trotting Club will hold is winter meeting on the Ashburton course on Monday (King’s Birthday). Good fields have accepted for all events and patrons should witness some excellent sport. Most interest centres on the Sapling Stakes, as the meeting of Doctor Ted (North Island) with the best from the South Island will be keenly watched. The All Aged Stakes also claims attention, with all the best horses in commission it should prove an interesting race. The following horses should perforin well in their respective events:
