KING’S BIRTHDAY HOURS. The hours of attendance at the Ashburton Post Office will be as follow: Telephone Exchange: Open continuously. Telegraph Branch: 9 a.in. to 4 p.m. Other Branches: Closed all day. Telegrams accepted at Telegraph Office, first floor, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mails for the principal offices close at 9 a.m. Street posting-boxes in the business area will be cleared at 8.45 a.m. Mails for the north close at Ashburton as follow: Mondays only, 5 a.m., 7,a.m.; guard’s van 8.15 a.m., 10 a.m.; guards van 11.10 a.m.; 2 p.m., late fee at Post Office 3 p.m., guard’s van 3.37 p.m. i Wednesday and Friday: 7 a.m.; guard’s van 8.15 a.m., 10 a.m.; guards van 11.10 a.m., 2 p.m.; late fee at Post Office 3 p.m.; guard’s van 3.37 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday: 7 a.m., guard’s van 8.15 a.m.; 10 a.m.; guards van 11.10 a.m., 3 p.m.; late fee at Post Office 4.30 p.m.; guard’s van 5.4 p.m. Saturday: 7 a.m.; guard’s van S.lo a.m.; 10 a.m.; guard’s van 12.15 p.m.; 12.30 p.m., guard’s van 5.4 p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive 8 p.m. (letters only). Mails for South close as follows: Daily 9 a.m., late fee at Post Office 930 a.m.; guard’s van 10.4 a.m. ’Monday to Friday inclusive, 8 p.m. (letters only) Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin and south of Dunedin. Air Mail Services. Trans-Tasman air mails close on Wednesdays at 3 p.m and on Saturdays at 12.30 p.m. „ , , Air mails within New Zealand close at the Ashburton Post Office: North-bound-Monday to Friday, 3 p.m.; Monday to Friday inclusive, 7 a.m. South-bound— Monday to Saturday inclusive, 7 a.m. Overseas Mails (Outward). Mails for overseas will be closed and forwarded as opportunity offers.
