END OF LUFTWAFFE.
UNDER ALLIED CONTROL. (Rec. 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 30. The once powerful Luftwaffe has passed under Allied control and is now being broken up completely, reports Reuter’s correspondent at Supreme Allied Headquarters. The Allies have established a com trol party over the Luftwaffe High Command at Berchtesgaden similar to that placed over the Army High Command at Flensburg. The control party which is made up of high ranking Anglo-American officers is closing down the Luftwaffe High Coinmand as an operating organisation.
