NEW COUNCILLOR.
MR C. H. F. APPOINTED. Mr C. H. F. Maynard will fill , the vacancy on the Borough Council caused by the resignation of Mr H. W. Smallbone. This was decided by the Council at a special meeting last evening, called primarily to consider the estimates. Mr Maynard, who was a candidate for a seat on the Council at the last Municipal elections, is chairman of the Allenton School Committee, and was for some years a member of the Board of Managers of the Technical High School.
