FIFTY YEARS SYNE. (From the “Guardian,” May 28, T 805). Chertsey—For some time the Chertsey Domain business has been neglected; however, lately an enei’getic member called a meeting and the Board was resuscitated, Mr R. Campbell being elected chairman. A certified statement from the banker showed the Board to have £24 2s Id to its credit. TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO. (From the “Guardian,” May 28, 1920). Presentation —At the annual social of the Ashburton Croquet Club,- the Mayor (Mr R. Galbraith), on behalf of the members of the club, presented a silver teapot, suitably inscribed, to Mrs J. B. Borthwick, who is leaving Ashburton to reside in Christchurch. Mrs Borthwick has been secretary to the club for the last four years.
