GREAT EXPLOSION
SOME OUTSTANDING EFFECTS. WORKERS IN FIELDS DISAPPEAR. GOEBBELS SEEKS PROPAGANDA-. (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright.) (Rec. 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 2S. More “freakish” effects of the explosion on Burton-on-Trent have come to light. On one farm a farmer, his wife, sister-in-law’ and three workers, who were in the fields, disappeared completely. On another farm a man with his waggon and horses disappeared without trace.
A full check of the number of men working in the exploded dump is im* possible as the records were in the administrative building, which was destroyed. Goebbels is trying to make capital out of the explosion. The German News Agency to-day put out a statement under a faked Stockholm dateline asserting that the explosion was caused by a German Vee weapon.
