PERSONAL.
Mr E. Hall, formerly of the Temuka District High School, has been granted a war-time appointment at the Ashburton High School. It is expected that ho will commence duties on August 1.
According to a notice in the Gazette, Mr A. Forrester has been appointed registrar of brands for the Selwyn, Oxford, Akaroa, and Ashburton branding districts.
The formal notification that Mr W. Haymes (Clerk of the Court at Ashburton) has been appointed registrar of births, m/arriages, and deaths for the Ashburton district, appears in the current Gazette.
Mrs M. Ward, of Belt Road, Ashburton, has been appointed' Senior Mistress at the Ashburton High School in place of Mrs G. V. Stevens. Mrs Ward, who has. been acting in a relieving capacity since the beginning of the term, has taken up her duties. She has on previous occasions held a relieving position at the school.
